Death Is ...

Death is no sunset,
No passing beyond the pale.
It is a blazing summer meadow.
Bees buzz, birds sing, flowers sigh.
Voices die, the songs soar on.

Death is not darkness.
Nay! Death is a laughing dawn
As sparklets of those who were
Splatter the planetscape and
Merge with those to be.

Death is no silence.
No soul's soft stillness.
Death is a thundering disquiet
As those remaining re-echo
Their memories of those now gone.

Death neither ends nor begins.
It's a whistle stop blink for
Our train of roaring generations.
Patrons at the station
Stand in awe.
